“Hao Long”China's First Cargo Space Shuttle, Officially Unveiled
They really got alien technology.
“Haolong” is China's first cargo space plane, designed and developed by Chengdu Aircraft Design Institute of China Aviation Industry Corporation.
It is reported that the “Haolong” cargo space shuttle is about 10 meters long and 8 meters wide, with a total weight of no more than half of the current cargo spacecraft “Tianzhou” and a carrying capacity of about 1.8 to 2 tons.
“Haolong adopts the aerodynamic layout of large wingspan and high lift-to-drag ratio, which enables it to have strong maneuvering ability in the atmosphere, more return opportunities and wider return window. And the original wing folding technology can keep the wings folded during the transportation and launching phase, and quickly unfold them after entering the orbit, which can greatly improve the efficiency of the space shuttle during the launching process and adapt to the complex and changing space environment.
“Haolong has outstanding reusability and can enter the atmosphere and land horizontally for many times, realizing the recovery and disposal and reuse of spacecraft flights, and significantly reducing the reuse cycle of cargo vehicles and the cost of a single mission.
It is no exaggeration to say that Haolong is capable of providing low-cost, sustainable, convenient and fast transportation services for the Chinese space station, further reducing the cost of cargo transportation for the space station through multiple reuse, and building a safe, reliable, diversified, flexible and efficient cargo transportation system for the space station and the world together with the existing cargo transportation system.
